How to describe myself? I’m a stay at home mom of two rambunctious little boys. I love sewing, cooking, writing, and of course, wasting time on the internet, so having a blog just makes sense. I don’t have a fancy camera, a fancy sewing machine, and certainly not a clean house. But I like to share my little projects and read other people’s projects waaaay more than run a vacuum cleaner. Sorry honey.
The name of the blog is just a silly little pun. I realize now, having had it for a year, that domesticengineering.wordpress.com would probably have made a lot more sense… too late now! Anyway, I visited a blog once called “He sows, she sews” and I thought that was terribly cute. Well, my husband is a surgeon… and I’m a sergin’! Haha! So there you have it.
This blog is a place for me to share my projects, mostly sewing, but also some other crafty projects and recipes. I hope you’ll find something interesting here, even if it’s just a link to a website you hadn’t seen before. I love comments and feedback because it means someone besides me is reading this.

I got a new machine for Christmas and I am thrilled to use it! I need to make more time to do it every day, because it does bring me joy…. and peace. 
You know, I stayed up til midnight reading old blog posts of yours…
